These are the three platforms most luxury homeowners in Houston end up choosing between. All three can control lighting, shades, climate, audio, video and security. The real differences are in how they feel to use, how far they can be customized, and how big a home they suit. We work with all three, so this is a practical comparison, not a sales pitch for one.

Savant
Savant is the platform we install most often. Its app is the easiest for a whole family to use, and homeowners can adjust their own scenes without a service call. It pairs well with Lutron and Ketra lighting. Every home in our current portfolio runs on Savant.
Crestron
Crestron is the most customizable of the three. Every system is custom-programmed, so it can do almost anything, and it scales to very large homes and estates. That flexibility means changes typically go through your integrator, so who programs and supports it matters a great deal.
Control4
Control4 is widely installed and works with a very wide range of third-party devices. It is often a strong fit for homes adding control to many existing products.
The factor that matters more than the brand
The platform matters less than the company that designs, programs and supports it. A well-designed system on any of the three will serve you for years; a poorly designed one will frustrate you on any of them.
